Typically, governing agencies come up with the wrong solution to a given problem.
An example is the focus on "band-aids" for problems instead of a "fix-it" attempt, as do amendments to an amendment of an amendment. There wouldn't be need for more food at the kitchens and food banks, or more beds and shelters if the client population stopped increasing. Adding to the problems is that some of the former donors are now clients! And where is this increasing portion of the population coming from. Who are they, and who will the next to add to the increasing numbers? See It's the Economy Stupid!

Not all the homeless are drug addicts, alcoholics or otherwise derelict - some of us are used to working for a living. Don't condemn or criticize anyone already compelled to deal with the difficulty of seeking refuge, and diligently providing for their needs however possible to live within their means.

A recent attempt (at a solution) not only fails to solve problems (IE: complaints regarding the homeless) but creates new problems, and has never even eased the original problem (just moves it to additional areas). Not only are there concerns regarding discrimination against the homeless and economically disadvantaged, and the need to stop homeless hate crimes, but also to decriminalize homelessness and stop violating Civil Rights!! Criminal charges should be applied to the crime committed. It is illegal to generalize by stereotyping and unfairly target the economically disadvantaged. It only disrupts attempts to improve, but moreover is a violation of Civil Rights to stereotype, profile, discriminate or commit hate crimes against, or criminally charge someone for just being black, gay, Jewish, or "Homeless"!?

Skirting around the abolishment of former vagrancy laws is inappropriate and an unacceptable "solution" attempt. Shortly there will be a fewer number of people still in a position to see it corrected. Think!!!... Where are these increasing homeless populations coming from, and who are /were they. Consider the advantages in reducing this increasing population who have resorted to a humble existence instead of persecuting them for being victims of economic imbalances!?
